The Color We Almost Missed

We reached the mountain in the afternoon under a flat, overcast sky, doubting we would get any color at all. We set up and waited. When the sun finally dropped, it lit the clouds from beneath, and the whole sky over Kirkjufell turned to pink while the falls ran soft and silver below. Some evenings give you more than you came for. This was one of them.
